Na bijna zes maanden blessureleed heeft Franck Ribéry de trainingen bij Fiorentina hervat. De Franse topvoetballer viel eind 2019 uit met een zware enkelblessure en ging daarna onder het mes.

Fiorentina zette een korte video op Twitter getiteld "Koning Franck is terug". Daarop is te zien hoe Ribéry enkele oefeningen met en zonder bal uitvoert.

 

Italiaanse clubs mogen sinds enkele dagen opnieuw groepstrainingen organiseren, maar bij Fiorentina wordt voorlopig enkel individueel geoefend.   

 

De 37-jarige Ribéry beleefde een succesvol seizoensdebuut bij Fiorentina, maar viel eind november uit in de wedstrijd tegen Lecce. Een tweetal weken geleden keerde de voormalige winger van Bayern München terug naar Italië nadat hij een hele tijd in Duitsland in lockdown had doorgebracht.

 

De Serie A hoopt vanaf midden juni de competitiedraad weer op te pikken. Fiorentina staat 13e in het klassement.
